· Over the last 4 weeks (May 13th to June 9th, 2022), 89% of the covid deaths were fully vaccinated or boosted, compared to 83% & 80% in the previous two 4 week periods.

· 95% of the covid deaths have occurred after 90% of the eligible population (12+) was fully vaccinated (1,190 out of 1,247).

Conclusion: It is fair to say that in New Zealand, the Zero Covid bubble has burst. Despite a vaccination rate of 95%+ in the 12+ population, covid mortality is at 249 deaths per million, vast majority of which (95%) has occurred after 90% of the eligible population was fully vaccinated. In comparison, Papua New Guinea, another island down under with a vaccination rate of only 3%, has recorded 71 deaths per million, 70% less compared to New Zealand. It is fair to ask - what has the vaccination drive really accomplished in New Zealand?
